Rate: Rate: $70K - $80K (Employer est.) + Quarterly Bonus
Primary Objective:
In this role, you will be responsible for selling this property, developing and soliciting new accounts to positively impact leisure segments, while maintaining relationships with current accounts. Key focus on consortia, wholesale and entertainment accounts. Travel outside of the office to meet with customers and prospective customers to develop business, make proposals, negotiate contracts, and maintain contacts, conduct site inspections and close deals. Consistently meet with and entertain customers, conduct property tours, participate in tradeshows and industry and community events to promote facilities and services.

- Achieves sales and banquet goals by developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Prospects for new potential business with a focus on local market through phone and e-mail solicitation plus in-person appointments, cold calls, site inspections and client entertainment (on-property and off-property)
- Prospects for new potential business and solicits repeat business utilizing Delphi, Opera and other sales tools
- Clarifies customer requirements, proactively probes for information and employs creative sales techniques to close business
- Prepares proposals for clients which outline details of room blocks, function space, food and beverage minimums and coordinates preparation of estimates with other food and beverage departments.
- Receives approval on all pricing from DOS, GM as appropriate before presenting to client
- Utilizes sales techniques in every aspect of job functions (phone, e-mail, site inspections and other client interactions)
- Negotiates sales of group and banquet bookings while keeping the hotel’s best interest in mind.
- Maintains active, updated knowledge of the competitive set including their guestrooms, function space, food and beverage program and any client offers
- Single point of contact for both our external customers, and our internal customers, in other words, our operations team at Luxe Hotel. This will streamline our business processes and enhance communications for all parties. Ultimately this will allow us to be easier to do business with, give us an advantage over our competition, and enable the rest of the sales team to focus on larger, more complex programs further into the future.
- Responsible for booking groups that require guest rooms with meeting/catering space for companies holding board meetings, retreats, sales meetings, incentive programs and seminars. This includes entering groups rooming list, detailing room blocks, planning events/meetings, resume, and any other conference service activities to ensure a group’s successful stay. Also responsible for social blocks associated with Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, reunions and other social functions whether the event is held at the hotel or off-site
- Responsible for booking groups with 10 or more rooms on peak night, with or without function space attached
- Responsible to grow entertainment/production market (crew rooms, filming on site and photo shoots)
- Responsible to assist with Photo shoot/ location agreements alongside DOS. Assist with site inspection, negotiations of shoot fees and handle contracting/ resume and be point person on property as required by Production teams.
- Responsible for generating reports as needed by DOS, and/or GM.
- Performs administrative duties to ensure efficient operation of sales special events files

- Processes countersigned agreements, BEO’s and other sales documents in accordance with policies set by the DOS, DOSE and/or DORM
- Proactively seeks relevant missing information directly from client or other departments so that sales files are complete and current
- Additional responsibilities:
- Answers the main sales office line
- Executes sales calls, hosts/attends client events & attends tradeshows in collaboration with Sales Team and/or Event Managers
- Coordinates site inspections and FAM trips as required
- Provides reservation support to DORM and Reservations as needed
- Attends daily/weekly/monthly meetings as required
- Liaison between Sales, Front Office, Reservations, Special Events and Marketing departments
- Updates collateral, rate sheets, group and events offer etc. as needed with marketing team support
- Provides input on, creates and/or promotes group sales offers based on market intelligence and client interaction
- Assemble Sales and Catering Event Packets as needed
- Compile payment information for group sales and daily events as required
- Assist with training new employees on departmental procedures, tools and reporting as needed.
- Assists in facilitating and executing functions by providing departments responsible with the function specifications
- Shops competitive facilities to record what groups are meeting at these individual facilities and uses this information to shift business
- Responsible for collecting all details and information which operations teams (Front Desk, Banquets, Engineering, etc.) need in order to execute a function smoothly and ensure that the client’s expectations are met; works events as needed
- Reports to the sales office Monday through Friday during regular business hours (8am-5pm or similar schedule to be approved by DOS.
- Required to work evenings and weekends as business dictates with compensatory time based on business needs
- Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
