QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD
The Total Quality Lead is responsible for partnering with the plant management to consistently produce and supply products that exceed customer and consumer expectations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with the plant management and the plant personnel to produce and supply products that exceeds customer and consumer expectations.
- Monitors and ensures the compliance to product specifications and quality system requirements.
- Monitors and ensures the compliance to the food safety program requirements.
- To support the Total Quality Manager and/or Total Quality Supervisor on the development and mentoring of the Total Quality team.
- In the absence of the Manager, the Lead will assume those duties with assistance from management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma, GED or equivalent required. Associates degree in Food Science, Chemical, Engineering, Microbiology preferred. 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment required. Food/Beverage manufacturing preferred. Lead experience preferred. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Reliable, Responsible, with initiative to take the next level; Committed
- Quality Systems experience,
- Knowledge in HACCP and Food Safety Programs
- Computer Literacy, Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable
- Knowledge of statistics preferred
- Good communication skills
